COLORADO HIP registrants, please note, live operator phone registrations are not offered from 10:30p.m. to 7a.m. daily. The live operator system is also closed all day on major
holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years). During out-of-service periods, please call back during open service times, or click “NEW HIP NUMBER” below.
If you will not hunt small game (i.e., you will only hunt deer, elk, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, moose, bear, lion, or turkey), you should not register with HIP.
The information you provide will be used for no other purpose than the management
of migratory birds (ducks, geese, rails, snipe, coot, doves, band-tailed pigeon,
sandhill crane) and resident small game (sage grouse, sharp-tailed grouse, ptarmigan,
chukar, Abert's squirrel) or other resident small game species such as pheasant,
quail, rabbits, coyote, etc.
